Baker's 1st Christmas Tree!

We're in Williston for Christmas this year traveling between my parents house and Lacy's parents. We're so blessed to be close with both our families over the holidays. It's been very busy for all of us and Baker has not been sleeping well. She won't sleep in her pack-n-play, so against my wishes she's been sleeping on my chest each night. I'm hoping that when we return home she'll easily get back in her routine of sleeping in her crib.
My mom found a set of little girl's 1st Christmas ornaments. She's always looking for fun new projects. Lacy and I decorated it and plan to plant the tree after Christmas on his farm land. Maybe mom has started our 1st Christmas tradition?

Knocked Out

Baker must have been exhausted after visiting her daycare, Clemson First Baptist. It's very rare she lets loose of her binky. We were so excited that a spot opened up at the daycare. She's been on the waiting list since I was 6 weeks pregnant. We know that she'll be well taken care of and loved. Her first day will be February 2nd. I know the day will arrive sooner than I want. It's going to be hard to let her go.

Baker Visits Santa!

Baker made a special trip to Ravenel Elementary to visit Santa. My school was doing a fundraiser for Relay For Life. I was so happy we didn't have to wait in the lines at the mall. She did a wonderful job! Look! She was awake. Yes!! I know!! She's not wearing socks and it is winter. When we went to put her on Santa's lap, she was missing her left sock. This is normal for her. I promise I put socks on my child and don't make her go barefoot in winter! I was also so proud of Lacy for taking his picture with Santa!

Relaxing with Daddy!

The best way to spend a Sunday afternoon - relaxing and watching movies with Daddy!

Bath Time

She especially loves her nightly massage.

I believe Baker's favorite time of the day is bath time! She finds it very relaxing. It's become part of our bedtime routine.

I'm not sure why she has Baker Carson as the name, but I've emailed her asking her to change it to Baker Elizabeth.

Family Pictures

With the Clemson/Carolina game just around the corner we decided to show our Tiger Spirit by posing for some family pictures. It's tough to get this crowd together for a picture, especially with Uncle Colin living in Arizona.

Gobble 'til You Wobble

Baker enjoyed her 1st Thanksgiving. She is truly a blessing to her mom and dad. We are thankful for each moment with her, even the late night crying and feedings.

FEED ME!!

Bentley

This is my favorite picture of Bentley! He did get to vist us for Thanksgiving.

Swing Away

Baker has enjoyed many hours in her "Cadillac of swings" given to her by her Aunt DeAnne and Uncle AJ. Thanks you so much! I've been tempted to let her sleep in it at night! She's always so peaceful in it. Thanks to her Great Great Aunt Alice, Baker is able to stay warm in a blanket and hat her aunt made for her.

Story Time

Each day Baker and I enjoy reading. Lacy loves creating his own stories to tell Baker. She appears to be an attentive listener.

Too Cute!

When we had our 2nd ultrasound done in July, Baker put her thumb in her mouth for us. After feeding her today, she found her thumb again. Lacy and I were both thumb suckers when we were babies. We're wondering if she's going to take after her mom and dad!

One Week Old!

Wow! The days have gone by so fast. I hope this isn't a preview of how fast she's going to grow-up. Baker has had a very busy first week in this world. Today is her first day to stay at home!

Tuesday: We arrived home from the hospital.

Wednesday: We went to the pediatrician to have her jaundice re-checked. Everything looked great. She had even gained weight since leaving the hospital the day before. The doctor also said that she was very well hydrated and she was doing above average for a newborn. With that said the doctor doesn't want to see her for another 2 weeks!

Thursday- We had her newborn pictures made along with our Christmas cards. We also brought her brother, Kota, along to have his picture made with her. The photographer was very impressed with Kota's and Baker's behavior. We did the entire photo shoot in an hour. The pictures will be posted on the photographers website by Wednesday. I'll post it!

Friday- I had to take Baker with me to see the lactation nurse. Baker has such a strong latch and suction that it put me in great pain. She knows how to eat! The nurse said Baker was doing a fabulous job, I'm just very sensitive.

Saturday- We went to Aunt Chrissy's house to have Baker's birth announcement pictures made. Baker was very fussy, but thank goodness Chrissy has kids and is very patient!

Sunday- Today is her 1st day of rest. We are planning to stay home all day and enjoy some snuggle time.

Go Tigers!

At 6 days old, I experienced my 1st Clemson game. I enjoyed in the comfort of my own home on my daddy's chest. I'm already looking forward to tailgating next season.

Our Blessing Has Arrived!!!

When I posted yesterday morning at 7:00am little did I know Baker would be with us two hours later. At 8 Courtney started feeling a lot of pain and pressure. The doctor came in, examined her and revealed that she was a full 10cm. There was no turning back then. Minutes later our nice, relaxed room was transformed into a delivery room full of doctors and nurses. Courtney was blessed with an extremely short active labor stage. She pushed about 10 times and out came Baker, screaming at the top of her little lungs. It was the most wonderful sound I had ever heard. Baker Elizabeth Williams was born at 9:00am. She weighs 7lbs. 1oz., 19 1/2" long and is great health . As expected, she is perfect in every way :) Courtney is doing great. Everyone that comes by says she looks like she never had a baby. Physically and in spirits. We can't wait to get home and start our new life as a family.

Tick-Tock

Well, we arrived at the hospital yesterday at 5:00pm. It was a long night, but Courtney is now resting comfortably. The epidural may have something to do with that. "Numbs" the word. At 5:00am the doctor said she was 5cm dilated, which is fast. He said Baker should be here before noon. I am so excited I can't sand it. I am going to be a dad in a few hours. WOW!! I will spread the good news as soon as she sticks her big Williams head out. Thank you all for the overwhelming love and support we received. You all have made this experience much easier.

Our Last Night!

Lacy and I are enjoying our last night of just the 2 of us! I went for my last appointment today and after my examine Dr. Hearn asked how we felt about having Baker's birthday on Sunday! We looked at him with a mixture of feelings, mostly shock and excitement. He said that she's ready to meet us. She will share the same birthday as my little brother Teddy. We're in the process of packing our last few items because we have to report to the hospital Saturday at 5! We'll keep you posted! I can't wait to meet her! What a true gift from God!

8 Days and Counting

Wow! I'm shocked at how much my belly has grown this last month. It's amazing to think that this time next week Lacy and I will be at the hospital to start my induction! I'm getting very uncomfortable. I'm so glad I made the decision to work half days. I'm hoping to make it through the rest of the week! My contractions are getting stronger every day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Baker can hold off for a few more days. Lacy has to go out of town Thursday. I'm a little nervous about that. We'll keep you posted if anything changes.

The Williams have arrived to "Blogging"!

Well, thanks to help of a dear friend we finally have a blog! (Thanks Chrissy!) I really don't consider myself a "blogger", but since Lacy and I are both blessed with such a large family we thought this might be the best way to keep everyone informed with the addition to the family, Baby Baker!

First Photos of Baker

The doctor has put me on bed rest. I made a deal with him to let me work 1/2 days, so today's my first day to try it out. It has been nice to get some extra sleep. I cannot wait to meet Baker next week (or sooner!)! I'm looking forward to seeing how much she has grown since these pictures were taken in July. I'm scheduled to be induced on Wednesday, November 19th! That's next week! WOW! We have to arrive at the hospital on the night of Tuesday, November 18th, so they can get me prepped for the big day.

Kota

I think Kota is going to be a great big brother! He has already introduced himself to her toy basket and is still trying to figure out what the deal is with Baker's cradle swing. He thinks the mobile is a fun activity for him to try and catch the bear and stars as they go by!

Williston Baby Shower

My mother-in-law Beth Dunaway and Lacy's grandmother, Chris Dunaway hosted a baby shower for me in my hometown of Williston. It was a wonderful celebration and time to visit with college and high school friends as well as family!
