Baker's First Trip to the Beach!

This past week, we made a quick trip to Beaufort to stay with Lacy's sister and family at Harbor Island in Beaufort. Lacy was so excited to take Baker to the beach and I do believe Baker enjoys the beach just as much as Lacy.

Baker knows how to kick back and relax at the beach!

Baker had no fear of the ocean and enjoy playing in the sand with Elliot. Baker did eat many of sticks and sand!

So sweet! Now that I'm a parent, there's more to do at the beach than sitting back, relaxing, and reading a good book. There was no such thing this year!

All the air it took to blow this pool up and Baker barely spent any time in it. It was a good idea, but Baker preferred the sun and ocean!

A Visit with Gin-Gin!

Last weekend, Baker got a good dose of spoiling from her Great-Grandmother Gin-Gin! I had to make Gin-Gin take these pictures. It's not her favorite thing to do!

Baker loved Gin-Gin's french fries!

Baker enjoyed dining in a 100 year old high chair! There were no straps to hold her in! (Just a little scary for mom!)

I never thought the newspaper could be so entertaining for Baker.

Baker Meets Baby Noah!

On our way to Harbor Island, we stopped by DeAnne and AJ's to visit and meet their new addition, Noah! What a beautiful baby boy! If there was a video to go with this picture, you would hear me saying "Gentle Baker..be nice Baker" like she could really understand me, but she was very interested in little Noah.
It's hard to believe that Baker was once that age, and actually smaller! Time goes by so fast!

I wish we lived closer, so these two could grow up together. You can tell that Baker was more interested in the dogs, than taking a group picture! She thought the dogs were her personal play toys!

I do believe that Baker's feet are the same size as Noah's! I'm not kidding! Baker can barely wear a size 2!

Play Time with Baker

Baker and I had a great afternoon playing in her room. I just love weekends! After 5 minutes of watching her climb in the chair and fall out, I grabbed the camera. It was a game for her, but a little scary for me to watch. Maybe it's a sign that she's going to be a stunt double one day.

First Friday!

Each year, football season gets a little different for us. It use to start on Friday with the arrival of AJ and DeAnne and end late Sunday afternoon. Oh the fun we had celebrating Clemson Football all weekend long. I won't get into all the details of the weekends, but oh..the wonderful memories. Life changes in a good way and we all have to grow up (just a little). It's a tradition at Clemson to kick off the football season with the First Friday Parade. The stars of the parade (for us)...Uncle Nick and Uncle T.

Baker had a great time at her 1st parade.

She was mesmerized by all the orange.

Baker was "moved" by the Spirit of Clemson and clapped for the 1st time at the parade.

After the parade, we headed to Peppinos for dinner. Thanks to our good friend Chrissy...Baker now LOVES drinking out of a straw and thinks it's her duty to drink anything with a straw in it.

It was a long day for Baker. The girl knows how to kick back and relax.

The only people missing were Colin, DeAnne, and AJ! Oh...you too Noah! We expect a visit sometime this season!

Go Tigers!

9 Month Check-up!

Yes..0ur dishwasher door does sag a little more now. I took Baker for her 9 month check up and everything looks great! What a blessing it is to have a healthy child. The doctor did put her back on her acid reflux medication b/c she's been showing signs of pain even though she's not spitting up. I learned that she doesn't have to spit up to have acid reflux. She's a little on the short side (I wonder who she gets that from?) 27 1/4 inches. She's in the 25th percentile for height. Oh well! She weighs 18 pounds (40th percentile) and of course her head is the biggest thing on her (Guess who she gets that from?). She's in the 50th percentile for head circumference 44.1.
Another exciting thing...Baker CAN wear shoes, size 3! Her feet are finally big enough! I figured I should try her in them for practice before the colder weather hits and she has to wear them. We're on day 2 and she's worn them the entire day at daycare, even during nap.
