Baker Is Growing Up Too Fast!

I love the little girl my baby is turning into. She is at such a fun stage. Her personality is starting to shine through. Baker is a wild, loud, and happy child. She is always full of life, laughs and smiles. Her favorite activity is her jumping seat. She would bounce all day if we let her. She is now 6 1/2 months old, has her 2 front bottom teeth, sits up on her own, is trying to hold her own bottle, "talks" all the time, loves to play with Kota and her toys and eats anything you put in front of her. Baker also spent 3 days in Williston while we moved! It's not like she was a few minutes down the road, but 3 hours away! I thought about her every second of the day and missed her so much, but knew that it was the best thing for her. I love it when she puts out her arms for me to pick her up. We are so excited that Colin and his girlfriend Mary are coming into town on Wednesday. We can't wait to see Colin and meet Mary. Arizona is just too far away!

Baker loves spending the mornings outside on the back deck. Only 3 more days of school and Baker and I will be spending EVERY morning on the deck. YEAH for summer vacation!

Baker and Landon had a fun time at Relay For Life. It's amazing to think that at last year's Relay Tracy and I were both pregnant and look at these precious little miracles! Yes!! Baker puts everything in her mouth.

One Wild Ride

The month of May has brought many changes for our family! Last week we closed on our home and had several friends and family help us repaint the entire house (primer and 2 coats) and move. We've been in our home for a week and love it! It truly feels like home, as corny as that sounds. Baker and Kota have enjoyed the space, especially the backyard. I'll post pictures of our new home soon. We're still covered in boxes. As a matter of fact, I can't find my wedding ring or Clemson ring! YIKES!!

Grandpa's Birthday!

This should have been an earlier post, but I still want to share! Dad and Wendy stopped by a few weeks ago to celebrate Dad's, aka Grandpa's, birthday. We enjoyed a nice visit and dinner at Charlie T's for some delicious wings. In case you didn't know my dad is a wing coinsurer, so he says.
Wow! I didn't think 1 candle would so much effort.

Party Time!

On Saturday, Baker attended her 1st birthday party. Her little buddy Tessa turned 1! We had so much fun visiting with friends and seeing Tessa enjoy her birthday party and birthday cake! The girls had a great time in the kiddie pool. Baker splashed in the water so much that her eyes turned red and she even ran a few kids out of the pool.

Olivia and Tessa were so nice to put up with Baker splashing them the entire time.

Baker wants to sit up so bad! It won't be long!

I believe Baker has mastered the lounge position!

I have never seen a child enjoy a cake as much as Tessa. This is the before picture. I wish I had a good picture of the aftermath.

It's A Great Day!

Life has been a whirl-wind the past few weeks. There's so much to do when buying a house and moving. We've picked out new carpet, paint (still figuring that out), and curtain fabrics. We close on May 20th. I never imagined there would be so many things to do, so a day with Baker is just what I needed. We just spent the entire day together! We didn't leave the house! A dream come true! It was just a mommy and me day while daddy played golf. I've decided that I'm addicted to Baker. I can't get enough of her. Each day with her is better than before and I never thought that could be possible. Her little personality is really starting to show. I feel like I really know her and have a bond with her. She is such an easy, fun, and happy baby. I still look at her with disbelief! She's ours! Lacy and I created this precious child and God thought we deserved her! We must be doing something right. I'm counting down the days til summer vacation! June 5th is the kick off! It's just more time to spend with Baker, Kota, and Lacy(no particular order)! Baker's first time playing with a pan. She spends a lot of time reaching, moving, and grasping objects. It's fun to see the joy on her face when she gets her "target".
So lady like-crossing her ankles while she sleeps. I love it when she pokes that little bottom up in the air.

Well...we've tried all the fruits and vegetables and she loves them all! I had to work with her on the carrots, that took a couple of tries. I really couldn't blame her, carrots are my least favorite veggie.

Baker loves playing with her toys. I have to keep her corralled in her little "play pen". If I just leave her on a blanket, she rolls everywhere. She hit her head a few times on the coffee table and rolled under the rocking chair, only to get stuck. I can't imagine what it's going to be like when she can crawl.

This was her 5th outfit today. Her acid reflux is still a problem for her, so most of her outfits get covered with puke. Last night she busted the zipper on her pajamas. I have to admit! I do have fun changing her into all her outfits. Little girls are so much fun.!

Bunny Baker

The look of Spring Break! I'm looking forward to spending a week with my baby girl. I see many snuggling naps in our future this week.
My Uncle T always makes the goofiest faces.

Aha!! My bunny has no arms!!

Really Uncle Nick!! Sitting me in my Easter basket?

1st the basket...now the paint bucket? Yes..Mommy and Daddy got a paint bucket filled with supplies for our new house.

I missed getting my picture made with the Easter Bunny because I had a fever. It broke GiGi's heart, so she bought me some bunny ears. I'm already playing dress up.

We spent Baker's 1st Easter in Williston. We had such a nice time. Baker and I went to 2 church services while Lacy enjoyed Sunday at the Master's with his good friends Luke, Len, and Jason. He also enjoyed sitting at hole 3 with Chris, aka Granny. It was nice to visit with everyone since it will probably be a while until we visit again. We will return in July for Baker baptism. My grandfather, Papa B will baptize her. He baptized me as well as married me and Lacy. What a special moment it's going to be. Between grandparents, aunts, and uncles Baker did get a little spoiled this weekend.

Baby Baker Update!

Now that Baker is turning 5 months old this week, I thought it might be a good time to update everyone on how she's growing and amazing us each day. She's the best thing to happen to us. What a miracle!
  • She's sleeping through the night! Yippee! I hope I just didn't jinks us. I never realized how much I missed a full night's sleep.
  • She's loves eating all fruits. Bananas are her favorite! She takes after her mom! We start on vegetables next week. I hope it goes well. There's nothing more aggravating than a picky eater.
  • She recognizes her bottle and gets excited, with a wide open mouth.
  • We have found some shoes that fit her! She's in a size 1. Yes...size 1 is for babies 6 weeks to 3 months, but she does have narrow feet.
  • Baker loves her brother Kota! She enjoys watching him and laughing at him. It tickles her that he greets us at the door when we get home.
  • Baker is really getting into listening to stories. She looks at the pictures as I read and even laughs and smiles.
  • She's teething! She can get really fussy and runs a fever. Thank the Lord for Tylenol and teething tablets.
  • The doctor thinks that Baker has allergies or it could have something to do with her teething. She gets really congested and does a lot of wheezing. It's so pitiful.
  • She's rolls all over the place and is even trying to sit up.
  • She's had her 1st fall! There's a reason they have buckles on the swing. She slid right out and onto the floor. I did a face dive, but was too late. She was fine and only cried for a minute. I think it scared her more than anything. I'm sure my screaming and diving didn't help her.
  • She's still tiny for her age. 3 months clothes are a perfect fit; although I think she's starting to move up to 3-6 months clothes.
